A call for applications is now open for the award of a post-doctoral research grant (BIPD) within the scope of the R&D institution Research Center in Psychology of the Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa, with the reference UIDB/04345/2020, with the financial support of Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia (FCT) and the Ministry of Science, Technology and Higher Education (MCTES), through national funds (PIDDAC), under the following conditions:

Eligibility of candidates: candidates must meet the eligibility conditions provided for in article 9 of the FCT IP Research Grant Regulation (2019).

– Experience in qualitative data analysis;

– Domain of the MAXQDA software;

– Publication of scientific articles with qualitative methodology;

– Fluency in writing in English.

Work plan: Full-time collaborative position within the scope of the research “Intergenerational transmission of trauma in a military context: a mixed methodology study with military families”. Functions include collaborating in the transcription and subsequent analysis of qualitative data already collected; participate in the writing of scientific articles.

Objectives to be achieved: Qualitative analyzes of interview transcripts and family genograms. Writing of two scientific articles for submission to an international journal.

Workplace: The work will be carried out in person at the premises of the CIP – Center for Research in Psychology, of the Autonomous University of Lisbon, Rua de Santa Marta, 47, 4th floor, 1169-023, Lisbon, gab. 403, under the guidance of Professor Rute Brites.

Duration of the scholarship(s): Duration of 10 months, starting on May 2, 2023. A selection reserve list will be created, which can be used for a maximum of 4 months.

selection methods

Selection criteria and methods: Only the three candidates who meet the admission requirements and present the best results in the preferential factors will be considered for the interview. Candidates will be evaluated according to the following criteria: curriculum evaluation (70%), interview (20%) and letter of motivation (10%). Only candidates with a weighted average equal to or greater than 15 will be admitted.

Publication/notification of results

Form of publication/notification of results: The 3 candidates selected and admitted for interview are invited by email. The announcement and the final results of the evaluation will be published, through a list ordered by the final grade obtained, in a public place on the CIP (https://cip.autonoma.pt) and Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa (www.autonoma.pt) websites ), and the successful candidate will be notified by email. All applicants will be notified of the decision by email.

Results

A competition was held for the attribution of a Research Grant (BIPD) within the scope of the R&D Unit – Research Center in Psychology – CIP with the reference BIPD _2023_2_UIDB/04345/2020, in the scientific area: Psychology, with FCT/MCTES funding.

One application was received, from Amer Al-Swedani. After evaluating the documentation, the candidate was excluded for not having a Doctor's degree.

The contest was closed without any candidate being selected.
