A call for tender is open for the award of a post-doctoral research grant (BIPD) within the scope of the R&D institution Research Center in Psychology of the Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa, with the reference UID/04345/2020, with the financial support of Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia (FCT) and the Ministry of Science, Technology and Higher Education (MCTES), through national funds (PIDDAC), under the following conditions:

Admission requirements:

Doctorate in Psychology (Doctor degree obtained in the last 3 years and at the time of application)

Eligibility of candidates: applicants must meet the eligibility conditions provided for in article 9 of the FCT IP Research Grant Regulation (2019).

– PhD in the areas of Developmental Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Neurosciences or related area;

– Publication of scientific articles;

– Experience in data analysis;

– Fluency in writing in English.

Work plan

Full-time collaborating position in the field of family studies and child development in international projects “Family functioning: coparenting and child adjustment: A cross cultural study" and "Multi-challenged families: Parenting styles, stimuli social preference dominance orientation in early childhood“. Functions include collaborating in coordinating data collection, performing data analysis and participating in the writing of scientific articles.

Goals to be achieved: getting data. Preparation of an oral communication for submission to an international scientific event. Writing scientific articles for submission to an international journal.

Workplace

The work will be carried out in person at the premises of the CIP – Center for Research in Psychology, of the Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa, Rua de Santa Marta, 47, 3º andar, 1169-023, Lisbon, gab. 304, under the guidance of Professor Mónica Pires.

Duration of the scholarship(s)

Duration of 12 months, starting on May 2, 2022. A selection reserve list will be created, which can be used for a maximum of 8 months.

The amount of the scholarship corresponds to €1686.00 monthly, according to the table of values of the scholarships awarded directly by FCT, IP in the Country (http://alfa.fct.mctes.pt/apoios/bolsas/valores), and will be paid monthly by bank transfer by the contracting entity.

Only the three candidates who meet the admission requirements and present the best results in the preferential factors will be considered for interview. Candidates will be evaluated according to the following weights: curriculum evaluation (70%), interview (20%) and motivation letter (10%). Only candidates with a weighted average equal to or greater than 15 will be admitted.

Publication/notification of results

The 3 candidates selected and admitted for interview are invited by email. The Public Notice and the final results of the evaluation will be published, through a list ordered by final grade obtained, in a public place on the websites of the CIP (https://cip.autonoma.pt) and of the Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa (www.autonoma.pt ), and the successful candidate will be notified by email. All candidates will be notified of the decision by email.

Between March 17, 2022 and April 15, 2022.

Form of submission of applications: Applications must be formalized, mandatorily, by sending an application letter accompanied by the following documents: Curriculum vitae detail that proves the candidate's experience (in Ciência Vitae format), copy of the qualifications certificate and motivation letter. Failure to send any of the documents required in the application is a reason for exclusion (according to Art. 10 of Regulation No. 950/2019 on FCT Research Grants).

Complaint deadline

After the final decision, and notification to the candidates, it must be taken within 15 working days, or appeal to the highest executive body of the funding entity within 30 working days.

note:

The scholarship holder must submit, within 60 working days after the end of the scholarship, a final report of the activities, in digital format. This report must describe, in detail, all the activities carried out, the period of time spent with them, the objectives achieved and the respective URL addresses (if applicable).

Results

The call for a Research Grant (BIPD) was held within the scope of the R&D Unit – Psychology Research Center – CIP with the reference BIPD _2022_3 UID/04345/2022, in the scientific area: Psychology, with FCT/MCTES funding.

Five applications were received for the contest: Alexandre Constâncio Fernandes, Christiane Whitaker, Fernanda Lyrio Heinzelmann, Melih Sever and Pedro Miguel Regueiras Figueira. After evaluating the documentation, candidates Alexandre Constâncio Fernandes, Christiane Whitaker and Melih Sever were excluded because they had obtained their Doctor's Degree more than 3 years ago (respectively in 2017, 2007 and 2018).

The two remaining candidates were selected for interview: Fernanda Lyrio Heinzelmann and Pedro Miguel Regueiras Figueira. Candidate Pedro Miguel Regueiras Figueira presented his withdrawal from the contest when scheduling the interview.

After conducting the interview with the candidate Fernanda Lyrio Heinzelmann, the jury considered that she did not have the necessary skills to carry out the work plan, specifically in terms of data processing.

The contest was closed without any candidate being selected.
