A call for tender is open for the attribution of a research grant (BI– Master) within the scope of the R&D institution, Research Center in Psychology – CIP, of the Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa, with the reference UIDB/04345/2020, with financial support from FCT/MCTES through national funds (PIDDAC)

Admission requirements:

Master's in Psychology; enrollment in a PhD in the field of Psychology or similar (at the time of hiring, the selected candidate must prove his/her enrollment in a PhD).

Eligibility of candidates: applicants must meet the eligibility conditions provided for in article 9 of the FCT IP Research Grant Regulation (2019).

– Good knowledge of statistics;

– Good knowledge of the English language;

– Computer skills;

– High degree of autonomy;

– Strong motivation for teamwork;

– Previous experience in research and scientific writing.

Work plan

Integration in research projects “Study of the relationship between sleep characteristics, bullying, academic performance and classroom behavior in school-age children” and “mindfulness, in a school context with children and adolescents”. Specifically, carrying out work to support the development of the tasks foreseen in the research projects, namely: Review of scientific literature; research programming and procedures with a view to face-to-face and/or online data collection; recruitment of participants and data collection in person and/or online; organization and statistical analysis of research data; dissemination activities such as scientific writing (scientific articles); translation of scientific articles from Portuguese to English.

Workplace

The work will be carried out in person at the premises of the CIP – Research Center in Psychology, of the Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa, Rua de Santa Marta, 47, 3rd floor, gab. 304, under the guidance of Professor Ana Gomes.

selection methods

Three candidates who meet the admission requirements and according to the preference criteria will be considered for interview. Candidates will be evaluated according to the following weights: curriculum evaluation (50%), interview (40%) and motivation letter (10%).

Publication/notification of results

Candidates admitted for interview are invited by email. The final results of the evaluation will be published, through a list ordered by final grade obtained, in a public place on the Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa website (www.autonoma.pt), and the successful candidate will be notified by email. All candidates will be notified of the decision by email.

The contest is open from 12 February to 12 March 2021.

Applications must be formalized, mandatorily, by sending an application letter accompanied by the following documents: Curriculum vitae (in Ciência Vitae format) that proves the candidate's experience, copy of the qualifications certificate and motivation letter. Complaint deadline

After the final decision, and notification to the candidates, it must be taken within 15 working days, or appeal to the highest executive body of the funding entity within 30 working days.

Results

The competition was held for the award of a Research Grant (BI) within the scope of the R&D Unit – Center for Research in Psychology – CIP with the reference BI _2021_2_UIDB/04345/2020, in the scientific area: Psychological Sciences, specific scientific area: Psychology, with FCT/MCTES funding.

Four applications were received for the contest: Aline Francieli Griebler, David Oliveira, Inês Estácio Reis and Mariana da Fonseca Leitão.

The members of the Jury evaluated the documentation required for the selection process based on the required requirements (Master's in Psychology; registration for a PhD in Psychology or similar). Candidate Mariana da Fonseca Leitão was excluded for not having sent the documentation required in the call for tender. Candidates Aline Francieli Griebler, David Oliveira and Inês Estácio Reis were excluded due to non-compliance with the requirement to enroll in a PhD in the field of Psychology or similar.

The contest was closed without any candidate being selected.
