Research Grant (BI) (1 vacancy) 2020

(1) Degree in Psychology, (2) Postgraduate or advanced training in Clinical and Health Psychology, (3) Experience in the analysis of quantitative data and in supporting research management, (4) Experience in research and evaluation in Clinical and Health Psychology. During the scholarship period, the following activities will be developed: (1) Collaborate in the elaboration of instrument protocols for online application; (2) Training and conducting interviews, and application of questionnaires; (3) Coding and data analysis (SPSS and EXCEL); (3) Prepare informed consents and requests for opinions for the ethics committee; (4) Collaborate in the formatting and editing of text according to the norms of the selected journals for the submission of articles (5) Support in the preparation of 2 posters and in the elaboration of technical reports.

Statute of the Scientific Research Scholarship, approved by Law no. 40/2004, of 18 August, in the current wording conferred by Decree-Law no. Technology, IP (FCT).

The work will be carried out at the Management Unit of the Center for Research in Psychology (CIP/UAL) of the University of Algarve, under the scientific supervision of Professors Cristina Nunes and Antónia Ros.

The scholarship will last for 3 months, starting on October 1, 2020. The scholarship contract can be renewed for up to 6 months, taking into account the new FCT Regulation – https://www.fct.pt/apoios/ scholarships/docs/RegulamentoBolsasFCT2019.pdf).

The amount of the monthly maintenance allowance corresponds to € 798.00, https://www.fct.pt/apoios/bolsas/valores. The maintenance allowance will be paid monthly by bank transfer.

In accordance with the provisions of paragraph 2 of article 11 of the FCT Research Grants Regulation. IP, the evaluation of candidates focuses only on the following criteria: academic merit (40%), research and/or evaluation experience in the field of Clinical and Health Psychology (30%); other scientific skills (good knowledge of SPSS; scientific English) (30%).

The candidacies evaluation panel is made up of three effective members and 1 alternate (all PhDs):

The final results of the evaluation will be publicized through a list ordered by the final grade obtained, posted in a visible and public place in building 1, Gambelas campus of the University of, and the successful candidate will be notified by email.
