The call for bids for a scientific initiation fellowship (BII) is open within the scope of the R&D institution, Psychology Research Center – CIP, of Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa, with reference UID/04345/2020 and the financial support of the FCT/MCTES through national funds

Admission requirements:

Undergraduate student in Psychology (attending 2nd or 3rd year) or Master in Psychology (attending 1st or 2na year)

preference criteria

– Frequency of the Master's Degree in Psychology;

– Research experience.

Work plan

Integration into a research project in Psychology. The following activities will be developed: transcription of family interviews; development of family genograms from the interview data; support in the preparation of technical reports. The objectives to be achieved are: 1) obtaining the transcripts of a set of clinical interviews for further analysis; 2) obtaining a set of family genograms.

Workplace

The work will be carried out in person at the premises of CIP – Psychology Research Center of Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa, Rua de Santa Marta, 47, 4th floor, room 404, under the guidance of Dr Rute Brites.

Duration of the scholarship(s)

The fellowship will last for 1 (one) month, starting September 1, 2022. A selection reserve list will be created and may be used for up to a maximum of one month.

The fellowship amount corresponds to €486.12 per month, according to the fellowships amounts directly attributed by the FCT, IP in the country (https://www.fct.pt/apoios/bolsas/docs/Tabela_de_Valores_SMM_2022.pdf) and will be paid by bank transfer, by the contracting entity.

Only the three candidates who have the highest average in all the completed course units of their undergraduate program or, in the case of students attending the Master's program, the final average of the undergraduate program, will be considered for interview.

Selection will result from an overall assessment based on the following weightings: curriculum evaluation (60%), interview (40%). Only candidates with a weighted average equal to or greater than 15 will be admitted.

Publication/notification of results

The 3 candidates selected and admitted for interview are invited by email. The announcement and the final results of the evaluation will be published, by means of a list ordered according to the final grade obtained, in a public place on the website of the Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa (www.autonoma.pt). The selected candidate will be informed by email. All applicants will be informed of the decision by email.

Application deadline and form of submission: The call is open from July 7th to July 16th 2022.

Applications must be formalized by sending a letter of application and the following documents: 1) Curriculum Vitae; 2a) for students attending a 1st cycle course (undergraduate program), proof of enrollment and attendance in that course, with grades obtained in the previous year(s); 2b) for students attending a 2nd cycle course, proof of enrollment and attendance in that course and a Graduation Certificate (Undergraduate Program). Applications must be sent by email to cip@autonoma.pt, and must include the reference of the call in the subject field BII _2022_5_UID/04345/2020.

Failure to send any documents required in the application grounds for exclusion (agreement to Art. 10 of Regulation No. 950/2019 of FCT Research Grants).

Complaint deadline

After a final decision has been made and candidates have been informed, appeals must be made within 15 working days, or sent to the highest executive body of the financing entity within 30 working days.

Results

The competition was held for the award of a Research Initiation Grant (BII) within the scope of the R&D Unit – Psychology Research Center – CIP with the reference BII _2022_5_UID/04345/2020, in the scientific area: Psychology, with FCT/MCTES funding.

One application was received: Dulce Dias, and the candidate was selected for an interview.

After conducting the interview, the jury classified the candidate based on the following parameters: curriculum assessment (60%) and interview (40%). The results are as follows:
