A call for applications is now open for the award of a post-doctoral research grant (BIPD) within the scope of the R&D institution Research Center in Psychology of the Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa, with the reference UIDB/04345/2020, with the financial support of Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia (FCT) and the Ministry of Science, Technology and Higher Education (MCTES), through national funds (PIDDAC), under the following conditions:

Admission requirements:

Doctorate in Psychology (Doctor degree obtained in the last three years) and Degree in Psychology.

preference criteria

– Publication of scientific articles as the first author, in indexed scientific journals;

– Experience in data analysis;

– Fluency in writing in English;

– Final classification of the degree and master's degree.

Work plan

Collaboration in literature review and data analysis and writing of two scientific articles under development within the scope of the “Transcultural Factors of Well-being” Project. Objectives to achieve: Writing and submission of scientific articles.

Workplace

The work will be carried out in person at the premises of the CIP – Center for Research in Psychology, of the Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa, Rua de Santa Marta, 47, 3º andar, 1169-023, Lisbon, gab. 304, under the guidance of Professor Iolanda Galinha.

Duration of the scholarship(s)

Duration of 8 months, starting on March 1, 2022. The fellowship contract may be renewed for a maximum of 4 months. A selection reserve list will be created, which can be used for a maximum of 4 months.

The amount of the scholarship corresponds to €1646.00 monthly, according to the table of values of the scholarships awarded directly by FCT, IP in the Country (http://alfa.fct.mctes.pt/apoios/bolsas/valores), and will be paid monthly by bank transfer by the contracting entity.

Only the three candidates who meet the admission requirements and present the best results in the preferential factors will be considered for interview. Candidates will be evaluated according to the following weights: curriculum evaluation (70%), interview (20%) and motivation letter (10%). Only candidates with a weighted average equal to or greater than 15 will be admitted.

Publication/notification of results

The 3 candidates selected and admitted for interview are invited by email. The Public Notice and the final evaluation results will be publicized, through a list ordered by final grade obtained, in a public place on the Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa website (https://cip.autonoma.pt/ and www.autonoma.pt), being the successful candidate notified via email. All candidates will be notified of the decision by email.

Application deadline and form of submission of applications

30 working days after the publication of the notice, between December 9, 2021 and January 19, 2022.

Applications must be formalized, mandatorily, by sending an application letter accompanied by the following documents: Curriculum vitae detail that proves the candidate's experience (in Ciência Vitae format), copy of the qualifications certificate and motivation letter. Failure to send any of the documents required in the application is a reason for exclusion (according to Art. 10 of Regulation No. 950/2019 on FCT Research Grants).

Complaint deadline

After the final decision, and notification to the candidates, it must be taken within 15 working days, or appeal to the highest executive body of the funding entity within 30 working days.

At the end of the scholarship period, the scholarship holder must complete an activity report. This report must describe in detail all the activities carried out, the period of time spent with them and the objectives achieved.

Results

The call for the award of a Post-Doctoral Research Grant (BIPD) was held within the scope of the R&D Unit – Psychology Research Center – CIP with the reference BIPD _2021_4_UIDB/04345/2020, in the scientific area: Psychology, with FCT/MCTES funding.

Two applications were received. One candidate was excluded: Hugo Miguel dos Santos Gomes, for not meeting the mandatory admission requirements (PhD in Psychology).

The other candidate was selected for interview: João Pedro Costa Barbosa Ferreira da Silva. After conducting the interview, the jury classified the candidate based on the following parameters: curriculum assessment (70%), interview (20%); motivation letter (10%). The results are as follows:
