This study aims to contribute to increasing the quality of social interactions in the workplace, health and well-being of the various health professionals, such as doctors, nurses, operational and technical assistants, as well as the retention and quality of care provided, increasing thus customer satisfaction. It is a longitudinal study of action research, of mixed method.
The health sector faces major social and economic-financial challenges. The safety of customers depends on the quality of care provided. These are affected by the quality of the work environment, which currently presents worrying indicators of stress levels, incivility, dissatisfaction, burnout and intention to leave the institution or profession. It is an innovative project, in that: (1) it includes the multidisciplinary health team; (2) integrates a qualitative component that allows enriching the quantitative and obtaining crucial information for the performance of the intervention; (3) includes a six-month intervention program that aims to promote positive effects at individual, group and organizational levels; (4) it has a longitudinal nature, allowing to confirm causal relationships between the variables under study and to evaluate the effectiveness of the intervention; (5) includes the transfer of know-how from the research team to elements of the institution, allowing a more lasting effect.
