A call for a post-doctoral research grant (BIPD) is now open within the scope of the institution of R&D Research Center in Psychology of the Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa, under the reference UIDB/04345/2020, with the financial support of Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) and the Ministry of Science, Technology and Higher Education (MCTES), through national funds (PIDDAC), under the following conditions:

Mandatory admission requirements:

Ph.D. in Psychology (obtained in the last three years) and First Degree in Psychology.

Preference criteria

– Publication of scientific articles, as first author, indexed in scientific journals;

– Experience in data analysis;

– Fluency in writing in English;

– Final grades of the undergraduate and master's degrees.

Work plan:

Collaboration in bibliographic review, data analysis and writing of scientific articles within the scope of the “Transcultural Factors of Well-Being” Project. The objectives to be achieved are: Writing and submission of scientific papers.

Workplace

The work will be carried out in person at the premises of the CIP – Psychology Research Center of Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa, Rua de Santa Marta, 47, 3rd floor, 1169-023, Lisbon, room 304, under the guidance of Dr Iolanda Galinha.

Duration of the scholarship (s)

The fellowship will last for 8 months, starting March 1, 2022. The fellowship contract can be renewed for up to a maximum of 4 months. A selection reserve list will be created and may be used for up to a maximum of 4 months.

The fellowship amount corresponds to 1646,00€ per month, according to the fellowships amounts table directly attributed by the FCT, I.P. in the country (http://alfa.fct.mctes.pt/apoios/bolsas/valores), and will be paid by bank transfer, monthly, by the contracting entity.

Criteria and selection procedure

Three candidates who meet the admission requirements and according to the preference criteria will be considered for interview. Candidates will be evaluated according to the following considerations: curriculum evaluation (70%), interview (20%) and motivation letter (10%). Only candidates with a weighted average of 15 or higher will be admitted.

Disclosure/announcement of results

The 3 candidates admitted for interview are invited by email. The announcement and the final results of the evaluation will be published through a list sorted by final score, in a public place on the website of the Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa (https://cip.autonoma.pt/ and www.autonoma.pt), and the approved candidate will be notified by email. All candidates will be notified of the decision by email

Applications must be formalized by sending a letter of application and the following documents: Curriculum vitae Detailed Curriculum Vitae attesting the candidate's experience, copy of the qualification certificate and motivation letter. Failure to send any of the documents required in the application constitutes grounds for exclusion (according to Art. 10º of the Regulamento n.º 950/2019 de Research Grants da FCT).

Appeal period

After a final decision has been made and candidates have been informed, appeals must be made within 15 working days, or sent to the highest executive body of the financing entity within 30 working days.

Final report:

At the end of the fellowship period, the grant holder must submit an activity report. This report must describe in detail all the activities carried out, the time spent on them and the objectives achieved.

Results

The competition was held for the award of a Post-Doctoral Research Grant (BIPD) within the scope of the R&D Unit – Psychology Research Center – CIP with the reference BIPD _2021_4_UIDB/04345/2020, in the scientific area: P, with FCT / MCTES funding.

Two applications were received. One candidate was excluded: Hugo Miguel dos Santos Gomes, for not meeting the mandatory admission requirements (PhD in Psychology).

The other candidate was selected for interview: João Pedro Costa Barbosa Ferreira da Silva. After conducting the interview, the jury classified the candidate based on the following parameters: curriculum evaluation (70%), interview (20%); motivation letter (10%). The results are as follows:

João Pedro Costa Barbosa Ferreira da Silva: 77,50%

The candidate selected for the Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship was João Pedro Costa Barbosa Ferreira da Silva.
