A call for bids for a research grant (BIPD - Doctor) is open within the scope of the R&D institution, Psychology Research Centre - CIP, of Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa, with reference UID/ 04345/2020 and the financial support of the FCT/MCTES through national funds (PIDDAC). The conditions are as follows:

Mandatory admission requirements:

Ph.D. in Psychology (obtained in the last three years, at the date of application);

Eligibility of candidates: candidates must meet the eligibility conditions set out in Art.º 9 of the Regulamento de Research Grants da FCT I.P (2019).

 

Preference criteria

- PhD in Development Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Neurosciences or related field;

- Publication of scientific articles;

– Experience in data analysis;

- Fluency in writing in English.

Work plan:

Full-time position of collaboration within the scope of family studies and child development in the international projects "Family functioning: coparenting and child adjustment: A cross cultural study"and "Multi-challenged families: Parenting styles, stimuli preference social dominance orientation in early childhood“. Tasks include collaborating in the coordination of data collection; carrying out data analysis and participating in the writing of scientific articles.

Objectives to be achieved: obtaining data. Preparation of an oral communication for submission to an international scientific event. Writing of three papers for submission to an international journal..

Workplace

The work will be carried out in person at the premises of CIP - Psychology Research Centre of Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa, Rua de Santa Marta, 47, 3-1169, Lisbon, 023th floor, room 304, under the guidance of Dr Mónica Pires.

Duration of the scholarship (s)

The fellowship will last for 12 months, starting May 2nd, 2022. A selection reserve list will be created and may be used for up to a maximum of 8 months.

The fellowship amount corresponds to XNUMX€ per month, according to the fellowships amounts table directly attributed by the FCT, I.P. in the country (https://www.fct.pt/apoios/bolsas/valores) and will be paid by bank transfer, monthly, by the contracting entity.

Criteria and selection procedure

Three candidates who meet the admission requirements and according to the preference criteria will be considered for interview. Candidates will be evaluated according to the following considerations: curriculum evaluation (70%), interview (20%) and motivation letter (10%). Only candidates with a weighted average of 15 or higher will be admitted.

Disclosure/announcement of results

the three candidates admitted for interview are invited by email. The announcement and the final results of the evaluation will be published through a list sorted by final score, in a public place on the websites of CIP (https://cip.autonoma.pt/) and Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa (www.autonoma.pt), and the approved candidate will be notified by email. All candidates will be notified of the decision by email.

Application deadline

Between March 17, 2022 and April 15, 2022.

Form of submission of applications: applications must be formalized by sending a letter of application and the following documents:: Detailed Curriculum Vitae attesting the candidate's experience, copy of the qualification certificate and motivation letter. Applications must be sent by email to cip@autonoma.pt, contact 213177679, and must include the reference of the call in the subject field BIPD _2022_3_UID/04345/ 2020.

Failure to send any of the documents required in the application constitutes grounds for exclusion (according to Art. 10º of the Regulamento n.º 950/2019 de Research Grants da FCT).

Appeal period

After a final decision has been made and candidates have been informed, appeals must be made within 15 working days, or sent to the highest executive body of the financing entity within 30 working days.

Note:

The grant holder must submit, until 60 working days after the end of the grant, a final report of the activities, in digital format. This report should describe, in detail, all the activities carried out, the time spent on them, the objectives achieved and the respective URL addresses (if applicable).

Results

The call for a Research Grant (BIPD) was held within the scope of the R&D Unit – Psychology Research Center – CIP with the reference BIPD _2022_3 UID/04345/2022, in the scientific area: P, with FCT / MCTES funding.

Five applications were received for the contest: Alexandre Constâncio Fernandes, Christiane Whitaker, Fernanda Lyrio Heinzelmann, Melih Sever and Pedro Miguel Regueiras Figueira. After evaluating the documentation, candidates Alexandre Constâncio Fernandes, Christiane Whitaker and Melih Sever were excluded because they had obtained their Doctor's Degree more than 3 years ago (respectively in 2017, 2007 and 2018).

The two remaining candidates were selected for interview: Fernanda Lyrio Heinzelmann and Pedro Miguel Regueiras Figueira. Candidate Pedro Miguel Regueiras Figueira presented his withdrawal from the contest when scheduling the interview.

After conducting the interview with the candidate Fernanda Lyrio Heinzelmann, the jury considered that she did not have the necessary skills to carry out the work plan, specifically in terms of data processing.

The contest was closed without any candidate being selected.
