A call for bids for a scientific initiation fellowship (BII) is open within the scope of the R&D institution, Psychology Research Centre - CIP, of Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa, with reference UIDB/04345/2020 and the financial support of the FCT/MCTES through national funds (PIDDAC). The conditions are as follows:

Mandatory admission requirements:

Undergraduate student in Psychology (attending 2nd or 3rd year) or Master in Psychology (attending 1st year)

Candidates must meet the eligibility conditions set out in Art.º 9 of the Regulamento de Research Grants da FCT I.P (2019).

Preference criteria

- Frequency of the 1st year of the Master's Degree in Psychology;

- Schedule availability.

Work plan:

Integration into a research project in Psychology, specifically through data processing (SPSS insertion and transcription of data collection interviews) The objectives to be achieved are: 1) obtaining a database with all the information collected from the research participants; 2) obtaining the transcripts of a set of clinical interviews for further analysis.

Workplace

The work will be carried out in person at the premises of CIP - Psychology Research Centre of Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa, Rua de Santa Marta, 47, 3rd floor, room 304, under the guidance of Dr Rute Brites.

Duration of the scholarship (s)

The fellowship will last for 4 months, starting March 1, 2022. The fellowship contract can be renewed for up to a maximum of 8 months. A selection reserve list will be created and may be used for up to a maximum of 8 months.

Criteria and selection procedure

Only the three candidates who have the highest average in all the completed course units of their undergraduate program or, in the case of students attending the Master's program, the final average of the undergraduate program, will be considered for interview.

Selection will result from an overall assessment based on the following weightings: curriculum evaluation (50%), interview (40%); motivation letter (10%). Only candidates with a weighted average equal to or higher than 15 will be admitted.

Disclosure/announcement of results

The 3 candidates selected and admitted for interview are invited by email. The announcement and the final results of the evaluation will be published, by means of a list ordered according to the final grade obtained, in a public place on the website of the Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa (www.autonoma.pt). The selected candidate will be informed by email. All applicants will be informed of the decision by email.

Application deadline

The call is open from February 4h to February 18 2022.

Applications must be formalized by sending a letter of application and the following documents: XNUMX) Curriculum Vitae; XNUMX) Motivation letter; XNUMXa) for students attending a XNUMXst cycle course (undergraduate program), proof of enrolment and attendance in that course, with grades obtained in the previous year(s); XNUMXb) for students attending a XNUMXnd cycle course, proof of enrolment and attendance in that course and a Graduation Certificate (Undergraduate Program). Applications must be sent by email to cip@autonoma.pt, and must include the reference of the call in the subject field BIPD _XNUMX_XNUMX_UIDB/XNUMX/XNUMX.

Failure to send any of the documents required in the application constitutes grounds for exclusion (according to Art. 10º of the Regulamento n.º 950/2019 de Research Grants da FCT).

Appeal period

After a final decision has been made and candidates have been informed, appeals must be made within 15 working days, or sent to the highest executive body of the financing entity within 30 working days.

Note:

Final report: At the end of the fellowship period, the grant holder must submit an activity report. This report must describe in detail all the activities carried out, the time spent on them and the objectives achieved.

Results

The competition was held for the award of a Research Initiation Grant (BII) within the scope of the R&D Unit – Psychology Research Center – CIP with the reference BII _2022_1_UIDB/04345/2020, in the scientific area: P, with FCT / MCTES funding.

Three applications were received. Initially, one candidate was excluded: Anabela Carreira, for not meeting the mandatory admission requirements and for failing to present the documents required in the Call for Applications.

The two remaining candidates were selected for interview: Andréia Vazquez Salmazo and Rita Proença dos Santos.

After conducting the interviews, the jury classified the two candidates based on the following parameters: curriculum evaluation (50%), interview (40%); motivation letter (10%). The results are as follows:

Rita Proença dos Santos: 80,00%

Andréia Vazquez Salmazo: 75,00%

The candidate selected for the Research Initiation Scholarship was Rita Proença dos Santos.

On the fifteenth day of March, two thousand and twenty-two, the jury of the competition for the award of a Research Grant (BII) within the scope of the R&D Unit – Research Center in Psychology – CIP, with the reference BII _2022_1 UIDB / 04345/2020, scientific area of P, gathered at the premises of the Autonomous University of Lisbon, at fourteen o'clock. The present meeting was justified by the fact that the Jury was informed that the selected candidate, Rita Proença dos Santos, withdrew from the competition to award the Scholarship. In this sequence, it was decided to replace her with the second candidate on the final ordination list, Andréia Vasquez Salmazo. ________________________________________________________

There being no further business to consider, the meeting was declared closed at XNUMX:XNUMX pm. For the record, these minutes were drawn up, which will be signed by the members of the Jury who participated in the meeting.
